VirtualBox: Running MacOS – Stuck at “End Randomseed”
If you’re trying to install any version of Mac OS in your Virtual Box and during the installation process, you got stuck at “End Randomseed“. Here’s what you need to do, just follow the steps below:
1. cd “C:Program FilesOracleVirtualBox”
2. VBoxManage modifyvm “<Virtual Machine Name>” –cpu-profile “Intel Xeon X5482 3.20GHz”
The above CPU profile sometimes doesn’t guarantee to work so feel free to use other CPU profiles. Here is another that works.
– VBoxManage modifyvm “<Virtual Machine Name>” — cpu-profile “Intel Core i7–6700K”
Goodluck!
I recently upgraded my PC to the following specs:
CPU: i7 8700k
Mobo: MSI Z370 Gaming Plus
RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport LT 16gb x 1
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 1060 6GB G1
Wifi card: Fenvi FV-T1919
Storage: 1TB HDD (for booting into windows 10; the computer works flawlessly in that, post-upgrade) and Samsung 860 EVO 250GB SSD (for installing macOS onto)
Originally I couldn’t even see my USB drive as an installer from my BIOS, because I was dumb and forgot to check UEFI booting only in the Clover install. So I wiped the USB drive, reinstalled the macOS HS installer onto it, and setup Clover with it again (with the default drivers + OSXAptioFixDrv-64) and when I booted off of Clover to the USB drive, it stopped after «End RandomSeed» and then added a line of +++++++++++++++++++.
I’ve read various posts on this already and tried all of the other Aptio… drivers built into Clover and I’ve also tried OsxAptioFix2Drv-free2000.efi.
Any ideas on how to fix it?
Thanks!

Hi everybody,
maybe somebody have an idea what`s going wrong.
I managed to make an Installation flash drive with unibeast.
It boots up okay, after I select «Install high Sierra» it stucks at «End randomseed» and reboots after 30 seconds.
I tried booting with -x -v, no success.
I adjusted the bios settings as recommended.

I had this issue earlier today. I fixed it by installing Clover v2.4k r4411 on my macOS bootable USB with the following options:
- Install for UEFI booting only (also selects Install Clover in the ESP)
- Drivers64UEFI -> OsxAptioFixDrv-64

Boot your system in Verbose Mode and post a picture of your screen when it freezes/hangs.
At Clover Boot Screen press space bar and select Verbose (-v) and Don’t reboot on panic (debug=0x100).

Thanks for the replys.
Here is a screenshot of the last output.
Don’t reboot on panic (debug=0x100) didn’t work the pc still reboots after this message.
I although tried it on a Lenovo X220 I3. Same result.

I can’t customize the options in clover installer, what’s the way of doing this?

@ELJUPO I ended solving the problems by using a concrete USB port on my PC. It only works on this port, I don’t know why.

What do you mean by a concrete USB port? One that’s directly on the motherboard as opposed to a USB hub?
I was only able to boot with a USB 2.0 16GB SanDisk (no USB 3.0 devices would work even though all the ports on my board are USB 3.0 and they were recognized in the BIOS).
You can customize the Clover installer by clicking «Customize» in the third prompt. See attached screenshots. The settings that worked for me were…
- Install for UEFI booting only (also selects Install Clover in the ESP)
- Drivers64UEFI -> OsxAptioFixDrv-64

did you try making a bootable key with the new UniBeast 8.3? I was having some issues yesterday used the new UniBeast boom **** worked.
Sierra на этапе End RandomSeed. Загрузчик использовал OpenCore, настраивал по их официальной инструкции. Игрался с настройками BIOS, ни на что не влияет.
Процессор: AMD Ryzen 5 3600
Материнская плата: Gigabyte B550M-DSH33
Видеокарта: Gigabyte GTX 960

Upd.

Xcode
Hey MaLdOn,
I wanted to get up and running fast, so i used the Olarila 10th gen clover folder, because you guys do a great job, and took about 50 reboots and maybe 10-12 hours and its working fine. even sleeps after USB map etc.
hardware is Asus Strix Z490-H / 10700k / GTX1080 / Native BT+Wifi Card
do you mind to have a look please? attached sendme.zip
I couldnt get AppleALC going, tried all layouts, in iOreg clover layouts dont seem to effect, its always showing layout7, the other thing is when booting with AppleALC it stops for about 15 seconds and fans run at high speed meaning CPU is getting hammered for some reason, without AppleALC it boots fine and smooth. Something is strange here. I resorted to VoodooHDA for time being.
I mapped USB ports, there’s only like 8, but when USB 3.0 stick in System profiler tells only 480MB speed, not sure why.
Cant seem to get Intelmu working, not from S/L/E or L/E or from Clover, its in clover now, its not important anyway
