HI everyone, I just want to know the reasons for the CE-00 error while scanning to network folders from the Sharp MFPs. It is described as unknown error everywhere. So I’m not able to identify the issue. Can anyone help me, telling what are the common issues other than the antivirus and the windows firewall which I want to check due to which this error occurs while trying to scan. Thaks.

I would always try using a shared folder giving «everyone» FULL access and FULL rights to that folder and turn off the servers’ Firewall….(go to last portion)

If it does not work then try to scan to the MFD’s USB port.

If all still does not work….that means MFD faulty.

In DCs, create a Domain User called MFD_User, reset password to like !123456! and set password never to expire.

The MFD should be able to add folder location and folder location credentials (so that MFD uses that domainmfd_user account to write to the shared folder).

If scan succeeds, turn on local firewall and set firewall incoming bypass settings as required.

Make sure your scanner has proper network settings, check the DNS and gateway, two of the most common sticking points we see.

Same is being done, sharing and giving everyone giving full access to the folder. I’m not setting up the scanning to the server since they dont have one and not using the domain, instead in workgroup itself it is showing the CE-00 error.

I dont understand what you meant by try to scan the MFDs USB port. I’m facing this problem when trying to scanning to the network folder only and using the application to scan to desktop works fine.

New Sharp FO-2081 printers will not scan to email.

We have gotten the CE — 00 error which is the most generic error ever.

We then changed a few settings in the format of the output of the scan (b/w, pdf, 150dpi, etc) and the error went away.

However, the scan does not send to email at all.

We have double, tripled, quadrupled checked all of the settings.

We had thought, maybe the ports are not configured into a correct VLAN, etc.

The office ends up getting a new Sharp MX-4141N. We think we will run into the same issue.

Nope, no matter what port the Sharp MX-4141N is plugged into, it scans to email with the same exact settings we have in the Sharp FO-2081. All the while the Sharp FO-2081 will not scan to email.

Does anyone have any idea or experience with these printers?

So, Im trying to set up scan to network folder with MX-3501N and receiving a CE-00 error. The workstation is a Win7 64 bit Home premium and I have set this up before in the office and multiple sites. I updated the firmware on the mfp and shared out the folder to Users, Admin and the actual user (Tyler). The folder looks like \192.168.1.117Scans and the user name is Tyler (tried varios iterations, Tyler-PC, Tyler-Office). If the folder path looks odd its because we were trying to eliminate DNS from the equation. Hope that makes sense. The Norton 360 antivirus was turned off as well the windows defender. I can ping from the mfp to the workstation. NetBIOS is activated and folder sharing is as well. The shared folder can be accessed from another workstation in the office as well to confirm. Scan to email works without a hitch.

What am I missing here??

Me faced the same problem too, one pc work but another pc refused. Same settings in both pc. May need some help from sharp IT tech

Sharp SMB scanners default to port 139, and cannot be changed to another port.

Windows7-64 defaults to port 445. What you need to do is open up port 139 on the recipient PC. One of the more IT savy members may be able to give you click by click instructions. I can fumble through it, but don’t know it that well.

When I do a network setup, the first thing I do is run NetScan which checks for port availability of ports 9100, 25, 587, 465, 139, 445, and 389.
You need these ports for:
9100: Printing
25: Scan-To-Email no authentication
587, 465: Scan-To-Email authenticating
139: Scan-To-SMB WinXP, Vista
445: Scan-To-SMB Win7, Win8
389: LDAP searching
You’ll know immediately if communication is possible without opening ports.

I’ve had this issue many times before, especially with windows 7 64 bit computers. Does the user have administrative rights with his login?

Even if he does create a new user login on his pc that is an administrator (not a user) and make sure to set a password for it. login as the new user and then create the shared folder. Share it with everyone. Now enter the destination into the sharp copier and use the new credentials. This almost always works for me. You’ve already eliminated a dns issue, which is where I would also start!

As a side note for other who run into this, if you don’t have a domain server you always need to use the IP address of the PC when setting up scan to folder and not the computer name. You can lock that IP in via the computer or router so it never changes. If you are setting it up on a laptop make sure you assign an IP via MAc address through the router and not via the network settings.

The user is logged on as the administrator with all rights. That makes sense with regard to rights. This creation of a new user is a solution I may have to try the next time I run into this issue because I’m certain this battle will continue.

* UPDATE*
At this particular client there were three workstations all running Win7 Home Premium 64bit. The 2 out 3 that would not scan apparently had all the current windows updates as opposed to the third workstation. Not sure if the update status played a role as much as the client just happened to share the fact. However, I deemed it worthy of mentioning here. The third workstation scanned right out the gate which left me scratching my head with regard to the other two machines. After spending way too long attempting to get scanning going on the non cooperative workstations I used a solution similar to one I recall reading in a forum. The workstation that scanned successfully is something of a server in that it already shares out folders and such. So, we just mapped a drive to the location. Well, I say we, but their network guy handled that part as I’m not that network savvy yet.

Take a look at the Network and Sharing Center and change the File Sharing Connections from 128 bit to 40 or 56 bit encryption. I’ve resolved similar Win 7 scanning issues using this method.

Yes, it’s available on Win 7 Home. Control Panel — Network Sharing Center — Advanced Sharing — Navigate to the bottom of the page and expand Networks and you should be presented with the option for 128 bit, which is default and 40-56 bit. Take the shot, it may resolve the problem.

Если панель индикации не светиться, то это не обязательно неисправность. Это может быть связанно напряжением в сети. Например не рабочая розетка и стиральная машина Sharp не включается.
Когда моргают или засветились одновременно лампочки, тогда нужно начать проверку с блока управления (модуля), а уже затем проверять всю остальную периферию стиральной машины.
Бывает, что ошибка может появится только один раз и для сброса будет достаточно просто перегрузить машинку. Но если код не исчез, тогда придётся его устранить.

5E или SE – Не сливается вода.

Проблема со сливным насосом. Обычно при этом вода не сливается. Скорее всего, неисправна помпа, либо перегнут или засорился сливной шланг.

Причины:

Засор в сливной системе: сливной фильтр, улитка, патрубок, шланг.
Засор в канализации.
Замена сливного насоса (помпы).
Проблему в модуле управления.
Повреждение проводки.

H1, H2, E5, E6, HE1 или HE2 – Не греется вода.

Проблемы, связанные с нагревательным элементом (ТЭНом). Может выбивать автомат во время стирки. Вода может не нагреваться или (реже) перегревает, вплоть до кипячения.

Причины:

Вышел из строя нагревательный элемент.
Проблема в модуле управления.
Повреждена проводка.
Самослив воды в канализацию.
Выход из строя температурного датчика.

dE, Ed или Door – Дверца не заблокирована.

Неисправность устройства блокировки люка. Машина не начинает режим стирки, но светодиод горит. Люк не заблокирован. По окончании стирки люк не открывается.

Причины:

Вышел из строя замок (устройство блокировки люка).
Механическая неисправность.
Проблема в модуле управления.

LE, LE1 или E93 – Протечка.

Износ манжеты люка. Машинка течет снизу. Требуется установка нового уплотнителя люка.

4E, Е1, 4С – Не заливается вода.

Все коды связаны с набором воды. Чаще всего это проблема в заливном клапане. Не заливается вода в барабан. Неисправен клапан или перегнулся шланг залива воды. Так же встречается выход из строя модуля управления.

Check and remedy	Check the heater lamp blinking with SIM 5-2.
When the lamp blinks normally: Check the thermistor and the harness. Check the MCU PWB thermistor input circuit.
When the lamp lights up instead of blinking: Check the lamp control circuit of the power PWB and the MCU PWB.
Clear the trouble with SIM 14.
H4	00	Content	Heat roller abnormally low temperature
Detail	When the temperature does not reach 155’C within 55 sec after turning on the power, or when it falls under 145’C during printing, or when it falls under 100’C during pre-heating.
Cause	Thermistor failure Heater lamp failure MCU PWB failure Thermostat failure Power failure Interlock switch failure
Check and remedy	Check blinking of the heater lamp with SIM 5-2.
	When the lamp blinks normally: Check the thermistor and the harness. Check the MCU PWB thermistor input circuit.
Check and remedy	When the lamp does not light: Check for heater lamp disconnection or thermostat disconnection. Check the interlock switch. Check the power PWB and MCU PWB lamp control circuit.
Clear the trouble with SIM 14.
L1	00	Content	Mirror base feed trouble
Detail	The mirror home position (MHPS) does not turn off though the feed operation is completed during mirror initial operation after turning on the power. The mirror home position (MHPS) does not turn off during shading operation. The mirror home position (MHPS) does not turn on when the mirror base is returned for the specified time after copy feed is started and SPF scanning position shift is performed.

Cause	LSU connector disconnection or harness disconnection in the LSU.
Check and remedy	Check the operation of the polygon motor with SIM 25-10. Check the harness and the connector connection. LSU replacement
