Xerox colour 550 , 042 326 error code.
I have Xerox colour 550 and has an error 042 326.. It says IBT error. The operator of this machine already done resetting..but still the same. He asked me for help and when I check and turn on the machine it does not initializef and the error popped up immediately.. he already cleaned the silver patch and the optical sensor and got no luck we even set the silver patch of the IBT in home position with the sensor but of no success. Does it need new IBT or do I need to check it further?

what is the page count on the current ITB?

The optical sensor on the IBT frame can be very hard to clean properly. Use a vaccum, brush and air line to clean it fully.
You’ve cleared the error and re-set from 3 to 0 so yes if the IBT is not new and it is likely to be over threshold then change it.

Remove IBT assy from machine and do a good cleanning of all parts of assembly.
Especially belt drive roll, sensors and silver patch.
Then put the IBT assy back into machine go to service and reset the nvm needed for reset the error code.
If you dont reset this nvm the belt dont turn anymore and the error code is poped right after you start the machine.

I use 741-105 reset code but the value was already zero. The operator already did resetting before he called me.. Still, I entered zero and press confirm but doesn’t work. I changed the sensor from other machine with the same model but no success.

I’m hesitant to use parts from other machine coz Im not familiar with Xerox it might get the same trouble afterwards.

Yes you can but the error remain
nvm 741-119 reset because the machine is XColor not DocuColor

DO NOT CHANGE NVM 741-119 unless you know what it does.
What happens when you do the belt edge learn?
Also when you POPO you must also unplug any anciliary products that it may have with it. Physically unplug everything and plug it back again

Remain as I said — 741-119 is the nvm who need change on XC560 machine.

I’m out of the Xerox loop, but I remember there being a handy flowchart in the 550/560/700 series edocs about this issue.

dc250 error code 042-326

Hi
I am getting this error code 042-326 on my xerox dc250 can anyone help?I have tried holding down the 0 key for 5 secs then pressing enter, then entering 6789 and reset NVM location 741-105 to 0
it has now went onto the screen with copy, scan and stored progames, with copy and scan blanked out
When searching online it says that this error code is the transfer belt, ours was only replaced before xmas -

There is a small silver color sensor on the back side of the transfer belt on top side you will see it while moving the belt with hand slowly there is a black spot on top its the sensor, which needs to be cleaned with a wet tissue paper and then reset the code

error description- IBT Belt Home Position too long
1.Check that the Transfer Belt is in the center (where the IBT Belt Edge
and the IBT Belt Frame are approx. the same distance from the front and
rear). Center if required
2.There is a small silver color sensor on the back side of the transfer
belt on top side you will see it while moving the belt with hand slowly
there is a black spot on top its the sensor, which needs to be cleaned
with a wet tissue paper and then reset reset NVM location 741-105
to 0.
Note- How to change NVM (non volatile memory) in xerox 240/242/250/252/260
Hold down 0 (zero) for 5 seconds and press start (green) button
enter 6789, confirm
press log in/log out button or the key button
press systems settings, common settings, maintenance, NVM read/ write
enter nvm 741-105 and change it to 0 (zero)

U4-1 Fuser On Time Fail (сбой при включении фьюзера)
U4-2 Over Heat Temp Fail (сбой, вызванный перегревом)
U4-3 FS1 Thermistor Defect (сбой в работе термистора FS1)
U4-9 Fuser Fan Defect (сбой в системе охлаждения фьюзера)
Узел закрепления
Откройте левую крышку.
Выкрутите винт (метка 1), снимите крышку разъема (метка 2).
Отсоедините 2 разъема (метка 1).
Выкрутите 2 винта (метки 1).
Достаньте узел закрепления (метка 2), двигая в направлении, указанной стрелкой.
Проверьте контакты узла закрепления, а также сопротивление термистора, оно должно составлять не менее 228 кОм в холодном состоянии. После устранения неисправности сбросьте ошибку.
Сброс ошибки
1. Нажмите и удерживайте кнопку 0 в течении 4-х секунд и более.
2. Продолжая удерживать 0, нажмите Start.
3. На дисплее отобразится «С_», введите 50 и нажмите Start.
4. На дисплее отобразится «F_», введите 20 и нажмите Start.
5. На дисплее появится значение данной ошибки. Нажмите 0 и замените значение ошибки на «0». Нажмите Start.
Выключите и включите аппарат.

Xerox 252, fault code 042-326 or 042-327
we just cleared a Bad Paper jam on our xerox 252, restarted the machine and now its giving us fault 042-326. Tried to move and center IBT Belt, then got fault code 042-327. Are these 2 faults related? How can they be cleared? Iam missing something?

I cleaned the silver patch inside the belt. Now it’s mainly fault 042-327Is there a way to set the belt in zero position?

First you need to remove the IBT assembly and make sure the belt is installed so that the IBT belt edge and the IBT belt frame are approx the same distance from the front and rear.
Next you need to run the Belt Edge Learn adjustment.
Enter diagnostics mode:
Press and hold the 0 key for 5 seconds.
While still holding the 0 key, press the start key.
The CE Access Number screen will appear.
Enter 6789 and confirm.
The topmost area of the UI display will change to a white banner with black lettering to let the user know that the mode has changed to the CE mode.Press the log in/out button.
select system settings
select common settings
select maintenance / diagnostics
select sub system
select belt edge learn
select startHope that fixes it for you. If not there are a bunch of additional steps to troubleshoot this error.

You can get a silver patch and place before the current silver patch. However, saying that I have replaced 2 pretty good belts due to the weather conditions. On days that are too cold I have noticed the edges of the belt curl upwards and the silver patch is sometimes not detected. When the room is an appropriate temperature the edges seem to go back into the appropriate shape.

Try to cut new silver patch from oracal film, and replace old patch with new one. I did that many times.

Make sure the optical sensor that reads the reflective patch is clean. Tends to get dusty.

Hi
I am getting this error code 042-326 on my xerox dc250 can anyone help?I have tried holding down the 0 key for 5 secs then pressing enter, then entering 6789 and reset NVM location 741-105 to 0
it has now went onto the screen with copy, scan and stored progames, with copy and scan blanked out
When searching online it says that this error code is the transfer belt, ours was only replaced before xmas -

There is a small silver color sensor on the back side of the transfer belt on top side you will see it while moving the belt with hand slowly there is a black spot on top its the sensor, which needs to be cleaned with a wet tissue paper and then reset the code

Xerox 252, fault code 042-326 or 042-327
we just cleared a Bad Paper jam on our xerox 252, restarted the machine and now its giving us fault 042-326. Tried to move and center IBT Belt, then got fault code 042-327. Are these 2 faults related? How can they be cleared? Iam missing something?
Your Help is very much appreciated.

Did you check IBT silver patch? Is it dirty?

I cleaned the silver patch inside the belt. Now it’s mainly fault 042-327Is there a way to set the belt in zero position?

First you need to remove the IBT assembly and make sure the belt is installed so that the IBT belt edge and the IBT belt frame are approx the same distance from the front and rear.
Next you need to run the Belt Edge Learn adjustment.
Enter diagnostics mode:
Press and hold the 0 key for 5 seconds.
While still holding the 0 key, press the start key.
The CE Access Number screen will appear.
Enter 6789 and confirm.
The topmost area of the UI display will change to a white banner with black lettering to let the user know that the mode has changed to the CE mode.Press the log in/out button.
select system settings
select common settings
select maintenance / diagnostics
select sub system
select belt edge learn
select startHope that fixes it for you. If not there are a bunch of additional steps to troubleshoot this error.

You can get a silver patch and place before the current silver patch. However, saying that I have replaced 2 pretty good belts due to the weather conditions. On days that are too cold I have noticed the edges of the belt curl upwards and the silver patch is sometimes not detected. When the room is an appropriate temperature the edges seem to go back into the appropriate shape.

Try to cut new silver patch from oracal film, and replace old patch with new one. I did that many times.

Make sure the optical sensor that reads the reflective patch is clean. Tends to get dusty.

Добрый день.
Помогите решить проблему.
Столкнулся с ошибкой 042-326 после того как полез чистить ленту переноса от клея с самоклейки, саму ленту не снимал ничего не крутил, просто смыл клей спиртом, когда начала вставлять весь блок обратно появилась ошибка. Несколько раз пытался ее сбросить не вышло, после еще раз 15 снимал ленту, промывал все датчики не помогает. И уже думаю что не в ленте дело так как принтер перестал реагировать на любые вмешательства, не ругается на открытые дверцы, на изъятие тонера, просто на экране сверху указан код ошибки и некоторые иконки серые. Сбросы NVM до 0 не помогает, после перезагрузки все тоже самое. Датчик на ленте нормальный я его на всякий случай скотчем сверху закрыл.
Кто сталкивался с такими проблемами подскажите как ее решить?
