Workshop and Editor

To open the editor, press the button highlighted by the red arrow. Snipping tool moment

Creativity according to instructions – Use a 2D scene template

Upon opening the wallpaper engine editor you will be greeted with a pop up UI that says ‘Welcome’ in the top right. On this UI click ‘Use a template’, select ‘2D Scene’, give the project a name, select a resolution and than click ‘ok’. This should give you the achievement

Working with 3D models – Use a 3D scene template

This achievement only requires you to follow the same steps above for the previous achievement. The only difference is you must select ‘3D Scene’ instead of ‘2D Scene’.

Sharing is caring – Post a Steam screenshot with a Workshop wallpaper open

To get this achievement, have a steam workshop wallpaper open. In your taskbar click the wallpaper engine icon and then click ‘Take Sceenshot’. Doing this should get you the specified achievement.

High aspirations – Post a scene wallpaper to the workshop

follow the steps for the achievement ‘Creativity according to instructions’. Once that is done select ‘workshop’ and then ‘share on workshop’

Upon doing so you are greeted with the ‘Publish to workshop’ UI. Give your wallpaper a title and preview image. Make sure the visibility is set to unlisted if it is a throwaway project and then click publish. The achievement should be yours.

Video makers – Post a video wallpaper to the workshop

Open the wallpaper engine editor. Upon seeing the ‘Welcome’ UI click ‘Create Wallpaper’ which will ask you to upload a file. You need to upload any random MP4 video file you have. Once the file is uploaded select ‘workshop’ and then ‘share on workshop’ do what the ‘Publish to workshop’ UI asks you to do and you will unlock the achievement.

If you don’t have an MP4 file on your device, you can use the third party website https://www.y2mate.com/en57 and download a short youtube video as an MP4 and use that.

Press any key – Post an app wallpaper to the workshop

I did say you would need to use or create external assets to unlock the achievements. On your windows desktop click on the search icon or bar depending on what you have and search “Notepad”. On the new notepad you opened click ‘file’ and then ‘save as’ in the top right corner.

Now upon giving your file a name Make sure you put .exe at the end of the file name before you save the file to somewhere on your computer.

Once this has been done open the wallpaper engine editor and click the ‘Create wallpaper’ button on the ‘Welcome’ UI. Upload the .exe notepad file to the editor. Once the file is uploaded select ‘workshop’ and then ‘share on workshop’ do what the ‘Publish to workshop’ UI asks you to do and you will unlock the achievement.

The internet on a disk – Post a web wallpaper to the workshop

Follow the same steps as the previous achievement on notepad only this time you need to end the file with <.html>.

Save the .html notepad file somewhere you can find it then open the wallpaper engine editor. On the ‘Welcome’ UI click ‘Create wallpaper’ and upload your .html notepad file to the editor. Once the file is uploaded select ‘workshop’ and then ‘share on workshop’ do what the ‘Publish to workshop’ UI asks you to do and you will unlock the achievement.

Pest – Cause 1 fatal error or trigger 128 warnings in the editor

On your desktop, right click, click new, and click ‘bitmap image’. You can name the file anything you want as long as it has .mp4 at the end of the name.

After this has been done open the wallpaper engine editor and click the ‘Welcome’ UI click ‘Create wallpaper’ and upload the file you just created. Click ‘ok’ and you should get an error. Upon doing so you will also get a ‘Please wait’ UI Which should look something like this.

Once you see this spam click the ‘ok’ button giving you many errors. Spam clicking the button should eventually give you the pest achievement.

Secret Achievements

To unlock this achievement you need to open wallpaper engine and click on the cog button to open settings.

Once settings are open click on ‘About’

While focused on this page you need to press these key inputs in the following order fast

Up – Up – Down – Down – Left – Right – Left – Right – B – A – Enter

This will unlock the achievement and some extra in-app themes for you to use.

Вводим любые буквы.

Жмем их поочередно и по кругу, пока не вылетит «ачивка». (128 раз) Будет подлагивать.

Simple as it is said. Download 10/25/50/100 different wallpapers from the Steam Workshop and use them.

Favourite 10/20/30/50 different wallpapers from the Workshop.

Another simple achievement. Favourite 10/20/30/50 different wallpapers from the Steam Workshop.

To favourite a wallpaper, simply select the wallaper in Wallpaper Engine and click this star.

«Creativity According To Instructions»
Use a 2D scene template

Open Wallpaper Engine and select «Create Wallpaper».

Select «Use a Template»

Select «Empty 2D» and create a project with that template.

Open Notepad, write randomly into it and save it as index.html

Then open up Wallpaper Engine, click «Create Wallpaper» and select the HTML file.

Publish it to the Steam Workshop.

Post an app wallpaper to the workshop.

Same method as «The Internet On A Disk», but save the notepad file as «achievement.exe«.

«Video Makers»
Post a video wallpaper to the Workshop.

«Sharing Is Caring»
Post a Steam screenshot with a workshop wallpaper open.

Click on the Wallpaper Engine icon in your taskbar and select «Take Screenshot».

«Pest»
Cause 1 fatal error OR trigger 128 warnings in the editor.

Open Wallpaper Engine and click «Open From URL».

In the text field, type in «test».

Do this again and name the second one «test2».
Now continously click between each wallpaper. Errors will pop up, and this is what you want. Keep doing this 128 times and the achievement will be unlocked.

In Wallpaper Engine, go to Settings > About.
Press these buttons:

You’ll know if you have done it correctly when the skin of Wallpaper Engine changes.

These achievements come along just for simply using wallpaper engine to set wallpapers from the workshop to your computer. Just subscribe to a wallpaper and wait for the wallpaper to download and appear as your wallpaper. After that you can safely unsubscribe and uninstall the wallpaper you have used. They must be different wallpapers.

Click the green subscribe button to download a wallpaper.

This section of achievements is as simple as the previous only you must add wallpapers as favorites. They must all be different wallpapers. There are 4 achievements regarding adding wallpapers as your favorites.

To add a wallpaper as a favorite, click the heart next to the rate up and down buttons.

Wallpaper Engine editor is used for creating your own wallpapers. You can use external assets and such as it is needed to get some of the achievements regarding the Wallpaper Engine editor. There are 8 achievements.

This achievement was obtained was obtained by causing a fatal error in wallpaper engine causing the application to abort its processes and stop working until it is relaunched. This achievement was and is still exceptionally rare because of how stable Wallpaper Engine is.

Pest’s previous icon

— Pest use to be obtained by triggering 512 errors in the editor. It has been updated to be only 128 errors or causing a fatal error. This means the achievements «Ooops, did I do that?» and «Pest» were merged together into one achievement.

This shouldn’t take long to get every achievement in this software apart from trying new wallpapers and adding them as favorites because you might just muddle up your favorites with non favorites. This is my first achievement guide I made. Feedback is greatly appreciated.

Creativity according to instructions – Use a 2D scene template

Upon opening the wallpaper engine editor you will be greeted with a pop up UI that says ‘Welcome’ in the top right. On this UI click ‘Use a template’, select ‘2D Scene’, give the project a name, select a resolution and than click ‘ok’. This should give you the achievement

Working with 3D models – Use a 3D scene template

This achievement only requires you to follow the same steps above for the previous achievement. The only difference is you must select ‘3D Scene’ instead of ‘2D Scene’.

Sharing is caring – Post a Steam screenshot with a Workshop wallpaper open

To get this achievement, have a steam workshop wallpaper open. In your taskbar click the wallpaper engine icon and then click ‘Take Sceenshot’. Doing this should get you the specified achievement.

High aspirations – Post a scene wallpaper to the workshop

follow the steps for the achievement ‘Creativity according to instructions’. Once that is done select ‘workshop’ and then ‘share on workshop’

Upon doing so you are greeted with the ‘Publish to workshop’ UI. Give your wallpaper a title and preview image. Make sure the visibility is set to unlisted if it is a throwaway project and then click publish. The achievement should be yours.

Video makers – Post a video wallpaper to the workshop

Open the wallpaper engine editor. Upon seeing the ‘Welcome’ UI click ‘Create Wallpaper’ which will ask you to upload a file. You need to upload any random MP4 video file you have. Once the file is uploaded select ‘workshop’ and then ‘share on workshop’ do what the ‘Publish to workshop’ UI asks you to do and you will unlock the achievement.

If you don’t have an MP4 file on your device, you can use the third party website https://www.y2mate.com/en57 and download a short youtube video as an MP4 and use that.

Press any key – Post an app wallpaper to the workshop

As you can see above we have a wallpaper, we simply click on where it says Subscribe, now we must open the Wallpaper Engine application and look for the wallpaper to which they subscribed.

They select the wallpaper they subscribed to so they can use it as their wallpaper.

And in this way we will obtain the achievement «Trying something new».

To achieve this achievement, we must first create a folder on the desktop and within that folder, a text document.

Now we must change the name to the text document by the name «Wallpaper» and finally we change the extension of the txt file by the extensión «exe».

When the editor appears, they must choose the option «Create background» and then they will have to find and select the text file that we modify.

When they select the notepad that we modify, this box will appear, it is not necessary for them to modify anything, so they click on «Accept»

First of all you need to have a video, on your PC i would recommend download something from youtube and save it on your PC. Then you follow this steps:

High aspirations
Post a scene wallpaper to workshop

You will get this one when you do either the Creativity according to instructions or Working with 3D models achievement.

The internet on a disk
Post a web wallpaper to workshop

To get this one, open Note Pad and then save as all files and give it the name index.html. Then upload it and the achievement will pop up.

Press any key
Post an app wallpaper to workshop

This one is similar to The internet on a disk but with few changes.

Open Note Pad and then save as all files and give it the name Achievement.exe and then upload it.

Pest
Trigger 512 errors in the editor

Open Wallpaper Engine and bottom left corner will be something called «Open From URL», click on that and type something like Test. The open it again and type Test 2. Then you must click on both Test and Test 2 512 times, and error message will apper dont worry about that.

Simple as it is said. Download 10/25/50/100 different wallpapers from the Steam Workshop and use them.

«Keeping An Eye On This One/Found Some Good Ones/Fair Collection/Wallpaper Connoisseur»
Favourite 10/20/30/50 different wallpapers from the Workshop.

Another simple achievement. Favourite 10/20/30/50 different wallpapers from the Steam Workshop.

To favourite a wallpaper, simply select the wallaper in Wallpaper Engine and click this star.

«Creativity According To Instructions»
Use a 2D scene template

Open Wallpaper Engine and select «Create Wallpaper».

Select «Use a Template»

Select «Empty 2D» and create a project with that template.

«Working With 3D Models»
Use a 3D scene template.

Exactly the same method as «Creativity According To Instructions», except choose ‘Empty 3D’ instead of ‘Empty 2D’.

«High Aspirations»
Post a scene wallpaper to the workshop.

«The Internet On A Disk»

Open Notepad, write randomly into it and save it as index.html

Then open up Wallpaper Engine, click «Create Wallpaper» and select the HTML file.

Publish it to the Steam Workshop.

«Press Any Key»
Post an app wallpaper to the workshop.

Same method as «The Internet On A Disk», but save the notepad file as «achievement.exe«.

«Video Makers»
Post a video wallpaper to the Workshop.

«Sharing Is Caring»
Post a Steam screenshot with a workshop wallpaper open.

Click on the Wallpaper Engine icon in your taskbar and select «Take Screenshot».

«Pest»
Cause 1 fatal error OR trigger 128 warnings in the editor.

Open Wallpaper Engine and click «Open From URL».

In the text field, type in «test».

Do this again and name the second one «test2».
Now continously click between each wallpaper. Errors will pop up, and this is what you want. Keep doing this 128 times and the achievement will be unlocked.

In Wallpaper Engine, go to Settings > About.
Press these buttons:

You’ll know if you have done it correctly when the skin of Wallpaper Engine changes.

Sharing is Showing Interest:
In the taskbar (where the program is minimized) you do
Right click on the Wallpaper Engine application, then
«Take Capture» and it will automatically give us the achievement.

Creativity According to Instructions:
Open Wallpaper Engine, then click on this icon to
next to the New Scene settings, and finally we choose 2D.

Keeping an Eye on This:
Another easy one, we just go to the Workshop and add
to «Favorites» to 10 different Wallpapers.

Working with 3D Models:
Open Wallpaper Engine, then click on this icon to
next to the New Scene settings, and finally we choose 3D.

Video Creators:
For this you need to have any video, on your PC or downloaded from YouTube. Then we open Wallpaper Engine, again to this icon «New Background Video», and here we must put the title, load the video, and then in the tab above «Prepare For Publication». ATTENTION! Here what we are going to do is publish a video as Wallpaper in the Workshop, make sure that the «Visibility» is set to Private!! So only you can see it and then upload it and delete it. Don’t flood the Workshop with garbage content 😉

High Aspirations:
For this you need to have any image on your PC. Then we open Wallpaper Engine, again to this icon «New Scene», we choose 2D, and here we must put the title, load the video, and then in the tab above «Prepare For Publication». ATTENTION! Here what we are going to do is publish a video as Wallpaper in the Workshop, make sure that the «Visibility» is set to Private!! So only you can see it and then upload it and delete it. These achievements come along just for simply using wallpaper engine to set wallpapers from the workshop to your computer. Just subscribe to a wallpaper and wait for the wallpaper to download and appear as your wallpaper. After that you can safely unsubscribe and uninstall the wallpaper you have used. They must be different wallpapers.

Click the green subscribe button to download a wallpaper.

This section of achievements is as simple as the previous only you must add wallpapers as favorites. They must all be different wallpapers. There are 4 achievements regarding adding wallpapers as your favorites.

To add a wallpaper as a favorite, click the heart next to the rate up and down buttons.

Wallpaper Engine editor is used for creating your own wallpapers. You can use external assets and such as it is needed to get some of the achievements regarding the Wallpaper Engine editor. There are 8 achievements.
